After School Activities

Beyond The Bell provides activities and homework help every school day for three hours after dismissal free of

charge. These activities currently include Learning Zone,Health and Fitness, Drill Team, and Dance. Seasonal sports and intramural teams are also organized. Flag football, basketball, soccer, baseball and track teams also compete on selected Saturday mornings against other middle school teams from Romer, Millikan, Sepulveda, Mulholland, and Portola. Traveling after-school programs that will visit Reed this year include: Arts and Crafts, Digital Photography, and Fashion Design.

Drop-in homework help is available in the library after school Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. After the first student progress reports are published in October, students at-risk of failing are identified and referred to tutoring after school.

Spelling Bees are held every Friday after school in the library. Geography Bees are held every Thursday after school in Room 182.
